Cosmos Pop Up Sale
Cosmos Pop Up Sale – Saturday 3rd June

Marden in Bloom are holding a sale of Cosmos plants outside Crowhurst & Tompsett – so come along and make your garden pretty and great for attracting bees and butterflies!
Part Time Village Caretaker
Marden Parish Council is looking to employ a part-time village caretaker for 15 hours per week.The role of Village Caretaker involves mowing, strimming and site maintenance of Parish owned land and other areas as directed; general maintenance jobs including painting, repairs and grounds maintenance; regular inspections and general maintenance of play equipment, public conveniences and changing rooms, litter picking, winter maintenance including snow clearing and distribution of salt; assist with quarterly newsletter delivery, Christmas village celebrations and working alongside the Cemetery caretaker when required. Relevant equipment, including a vehicle, will be provided and training will be given where necessary.

The successful applicant should be fit and healthy as some aspects of role involve manual handing and ideally live, or have knowledge of the parish and have some skills in carpentry, grounds maintenance and machinery.

Fathers’ Day at the West End Tavern
Traditional Sunday Roast Lunch served 12noon to 2pm and then the Bells Yew Green Big Band will be playing in the Garden from 2pm to 4pm.During the band performance the kitchen will open again for Burgers, Hot Dogs etc.
