Active Podiatry Services
Alex Geeves
6th April 2020

Monday the 23rd of March was a sad day for Active Podiatry as, following advice from government and our professional body, we closed our doors for routine consultations to keep both our clients and ourselves safe from the Corona Virus. As an essential medical service however, we have stayed open for emergencies to ease the strain on the NHS and have managed to help some people, including an NHS key worker in critical care who was unable to do her job due to foot pain.

Not resting on our laurels we have also been looking at ways we can help our clients, and last week launched an online video consultation service. This enables us to monitor recovery of clients we have treated in the past, give advice and treatment plans to new clients, and give general reassurance and advice where needed. This service has proved quite popular, and we are aiming to keep this service going once our doors are open for business again. As self isolation is so key to overcoming this crisis, it is important to us that our clients know they can reach us to get help if they need it, without having to leave the safety of their homes.

Keep well and stay safe.
