Marden Farmers’ Market
We at the West End Tavern are pleased to be again hosting the ‘Marden Farmers’ Market’ on Sunday 13th August. Last month was our first time but we had approximately 10 stalls and the event was well attended. There were stalls with meat/sausages, cupcakes, cards, flowers, fudge, vegetable, bread and also French cheeses.

For more details, please contact the West End Tavern.

Sunday Bandstand
The Sunday Bandstand continues with Harry Whitty Jazz Quartet on Sunday 13th August and The Fireflies (8 piece Jazz and Swing) on Sunday 27th August.

The live music runs from 2pm to 4pm in the garden and is free to attend. There is plenty of time for one of the West End Tavern Sunday Roast Lunches before relaxing in the garden to enjoy the music.

On 20th August local man Peter Street, will be bringing the Street Singers who will be performing a range of songs from shows, again between 2pm and 4pm.

Road Closures
Stanley Road, Marden will be closed for up to 10 working days from 7th August 2017. There will be no access for through traffic between the junctions with Albion Road and South Road. The alternative route is via South Road, Howland Road, Albion Road and vice versa. This is to enable a new water main installation to be carried out.

Burtons Group
You may possibly be aware that the Burtons Group of Companies is mainly focused around the veterinary industry manufacturing and supporting equipment used in veterinary practises all over the UK and around the world. You may not know that more recently we have added an aquatics division. Based in Weald House in Pattenden Lane we offer a complete range of pond filtration systems. The BD range of drum filters is produced here in Marden and we also stock a range of pumps, UV filters, fish feeds and bio media. So if you need a bag of feed or your fish are swimming in murky waters, why not drop in and speak to our pond experts Paul and Mark.

Clive Allcorn – Headshot Photography for your business

Is your online presence up to scratch? Are you still using selfies in your staff personal profiles? Do you struggle to find suitable images for your company publications and marketing materials? If so, there is a new photographer on the block and I would love to work with you to produce corporate headshots that will reflect well on your business.

Firstly let me introduce myself as I am new to the Marden Business Forum. After a 40 year career in Kent Police, I have decided to turn my passion for photography into a business. I love to work with people and photograph them so I specialise in all forms of portrait photography. In my spare time I am an accomplished underwater photographer and also love to work with models and artists to produce beautiful images. As a new business, my prices are reasonable but my work is excellent.
