Come along to the Unicorn Pub to meet Helen Grant, Maidstone & The Weald MP and Minister for Sport and Equalities.

The event is hosted by John Warnett of BBC Radio Kent, commencing at 6pm on 13th December, Members and a guest welcome.

We would like to welcome the following new members to the business forum.

Sally Paffard – Pilates Foundation teacher based in Marden and Cranbrook.

Massage Angel – Denise Macey, fully qualified, insured and registered Massage Therapist offering sports and holistic massage.

Simpson’s Sound Ltd. – Peter Simpson, Piano and Keyboard Tuition catering for all ages and abilities.

Anno Distillers Limited – Kent’s first micro-distillery and the first to start distilling gin in the county for over 200 years.

7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction

The temporary 7.5 tonne weight restriction through Yalding 6 month consultation period ends soon. The experiment is scheduled to be in place for 18 months.

You may agree with it or disagree, but make your individual representation to KCC Highways Department as each email counts for 1 opinion.

If you wish to make your representation on the scheme, you can do so by clicking here until the consultation period ends at noon on 7th November.

Marden was designated to build an extra 320 homes as part of Government Policy, but this figure is likely to increase as a result of Maidstone Borough Council local plans.
