Yalding Vechicle Restriction Scheme

Following the consultation on the Yalding vehicle restriction, the scheme was approved on 22nd January 2014 at a meeting of the Local Maidstone Joint Transportation Board.
As well as approving the scheme in it's current state, they also approved two further traffic regulation orders to include additional roads in the scheme. Details of the additions will be published in the next few weeks.
New state of the art laser cutting centre opened in Marden.

The Minister for Sport, the Right Honourable Helen Grant MP officially commissioned the new Amada Laser cutting machine at Burtons on Friday 2nd May 2014. Helen was invited to start the machine to engrave a stainless steel plaque to commemorate the occasion. The assembled guests counted down as Helen launched the machine into life.

At the Active Maidstone Awards held at Maidstone Leisure Centre on Friday 24th January, Wellbeing People won the Creating Healthier Communities award.
